Scholars International Group Executive Principal, Dr. Paul Lieblich, announced that Clarion School, a member of the Scholars International Group (SIG) group of schools, will be able to follow all the new health and safety guidelines from the KHDA and still offer every enrolled child a full day and an everyday learning experience.

Given these new guidelines, Clarion School will also reduce class sizes to a maximum of 10 in Pre-K, K1 and K2. Grades 1 to 5 class sizes will be set at 15 children per class. Following a through risk assessment of all aspects of the school and in collaboration with Farnek, one of the leading facility management companies in the MENA region, Clarion School will be providing as normal a school experience as possible for each child under its care.

“Children have been through a very disruptive experience and our goal is to provide as much normalcy to their lives and learning experience as possible. We are fortunate that we are able to do so at Clarion without having to resort to a blended, afternoon shift or alternate day environment that many schools are doing.”

To that end, Clarion has also been proactive in hiring additional classroom Lead Teachers to ensure that these smaller class groupings are still led by a highly qualified educator and there is no impact to the quality of learning.

“Splitting a class is economically very costly and we understand why schools will have the additional split section led by the Assistant Teacher. However, at Clarion, we are extremely committed to ensuring that there is no impact to the quality of learning and so all classes will have a Lead Teacher.
