Dear Clarion Families and Friends,
Let’s jump into Spring!
Celebrating UAE Mother’s Day at Clarion
UAE Mother’s Day is a special time to honor the love, dedication, and strength of mothers in our community. We hope you had the opportunity to capture a special moment with your child during our Mommy & Me photo opportunity.
To celebrate all our wonderful Clarion mothers, we chose a potted periwinkle plant as a token of appreciation—a symbol of the ever-growing and blooming love between mother and child. May it serve as a reminder of the deep and lasting bond you share.
Wishing our Clarion mothers a joyous and heartfelt UAE Mother’s Day!
Highlighting Students’ Learning in Action: Clarion Culminations
This term’s Clarion Culminations were nothing short of inspiring. Centered around the economy, our students showcased creativity, innovation, and real-world problem- solving.
Early Years wowed us with an Upcycled Fashion Show, transforming clothes and accessories into stunning new designs while learning about sustainability.
Primary students took on the challenge of entrepreneurship—writing business plans, creating products, and pitching their ideas to an audience of parents in a true Shark Tank-style experience.
Meanwhile, our fourth graders put their skills to work on an exciting legacy project— designing and fundraising to build a permanent home for Pedro, Clarion’s beloved tortoise.
From creativity to commerce, our students demonstrated deep learning and ingenuity at every level. Thank you to all the families who joined us in celebrating their hard work.
Report Cards – Uploads
Our data manager has identified a sudden irregularity in the Orison system that is impacting uploads. He is currently working on the issue and will be doing so over the weekend. Report cards will be available next week. Once we have confirmation of their full upload from the providers, we will send a notification on the day of the release.
Clarion Gifted and Talented Program: Parent Webinar – March 25
Microsoft Teams invitations have been sent for the Gifted & Talented Program Webinar on Tuesday, March 25, from 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM. If all participants consent, the session will be recorded and shared with those unable to join.
Following Spring Break, Education Plan Meetings will take place within the first three weeks to discuss individual student pathways. Additionally, I will be available to answer any questions about the program during Parent-Teacher Conferences.
I look forward to connecting with you.
Middle School Representation in the CPC
If there are any middle school parents available on Tuesday mornings, I encourage you to join the Clarion Parent Community (CPC). We need more parent presentation for the students in the upper grades. Your feedback is vital to ensuring our older students have a memorable educational experience.
Middle School International Trip: We’re Going to Europe!
The votes are in, and we are excited to announce that the middle school students will be embarking in Clarion School’s first international field trip! We will take students on an incredible European Tour! With 53% of the votes, the selected itinerary includes Geneva, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam—a journey filled with cultural exploration, historical landmarks, and unforgettable experiences.
To ensure families are well-informed, we will host a parent meeting on Tuesday, April 8 at 8:15 am in the Atrium to discuss trip logistics, costs, and important details. Travel agents specializing in educational tours will be on hand to present the itinerary and answer any questions. Further communication will be sent to ensure all parents can attend.
We can’t wait for our students to embark on this exciting adventure! Stay tuned for more details.
