Dear Clarion Families and Friends,
This week at Clarion School was truly out of this world as we hosted our second annual STEAM Expo! With Star Wars as this year’s theme, our young Padawans eagerly embraced the challenge, showcasing their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
Our youngest learners proudly presented their Term 1 culminations, delighting their peers and cheering on participants during our exciting engineering challenges on the field and basketball court. We were captivated by musical and dramatic performances from students in Grades 3–8, while our fourth graders showcased their talents in a wood sculpture exhibit in the Atrium. Elementary students wowed us with their inventions and raced their rubber band balloon cars, demonstrating impressive ingenuity in bridge building and engineering design. A special shoutout to Ms. Elham, who collaborated with an external provider to bring a unique STEAM learning experience to students in 4A and 4B.
Our middle school students (Grades 6–8) were busy across campus, taking on an array of exciting challenges. Mr. Yasin organized Clarion School’s first-ever Math Bowl, where our sixth and seventh grade teams emerged victorious. In English, Mr. Jordan tasked students with crafting Star Wars-inspired narrative and expository essays, transporting us to new worlds through their compelling storytelling—I can’t wait to read more of their work!
The Science Fair, led by Ms. Theresa, Mr. Victor, and Ms. Hazel, featured an incredible variety of projects, along with the introduction of two thrilling challenges: the mouse trap car race and bottle rocket design competition. Congratulations to Jay (Grade 6) and Ali (Grade 8), our bottle rocket challenge champions!
Rounding out our STEAM celebrations, the STEAM Poster Challenge saw fierce competition. A special congratulations to Maria, Ghalia, Nadia, and Lavinia from Grade 6 for their phenomenal poster, which earned the most votes!
This year’s STEAM Expo was a testament to the boundless creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking of our students. Thank you to all the educators, students, and families who made this event a stellar success. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!

The Jungle Book Theater Production
This is a reminder that we will be hosting The Jungle Book Theater Production on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the small gym. Parents, if you have not done so already, kindly sign the consent form and submit the 65 AED payment for the event directly to your child’s homeroom teacher.
Student Dismissal and Play Dates
Parents, when arranging for another parent or family to pick up your child for a playdate, please make sure to notify their homeroom teacher and copy SLT on an email. Students are not allowed to go home with someone else unless we have written consent. Additionally, if a student is feeling unwell, they may not go home alone in a taxi. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we truly appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
