Music Educator
Iva began her studies in the USA when she was awarded a full scholarship to study Music Performance for a year in the USA Global UGRAD University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She then continued her studies to receive a BA in Music Performance and Education from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia and more recently Iva was awarded yet another scholarship from the Turkish Government Türkiye Scholarships whereby she graduated with a MA in Musicology.
Iva is fluent in English and Serbian and is also able to converse in Turkish and Spanish.
Iva’s specialit]es are the violin, viola, and piano. She is dedicated to making her music lessons engaging and enjoyable which helps promote long-lasting practice habits. She is experienced in leading ensembles and orchestras as well as offering a strong foundation in musical theory and exemplary communication skills.
Drama Educator
Kathleen Kennedy brings a wealth of experience in performing arts and education to her role at Clarion. Originally from Northern Ireland, Kathleen spent six years training in music and performing arts before relocating to London. There, she completed a BA in Drama Performance, an MA in European History, and a PGCE in Secondary Drama, accumulating seven years of experience teaching secondary drama in London schools.
Kathleen is passionate about fostering a community at Clarion. She values the school's intimate setting, which allows her to develop close relationships with students, parents, and staff. Her commitment to education and her ability to connect with the Clarion community make her a valued member of the school.
Art Teacher
Injie Youssef is excited to bring her passion for creativity to Clarion as the new Art and Design teacher. With her vibrant approach to teaching, Injie aims to inspire her students outside the traditional classroom settings through various artistic activities.
Her expertise extends beyond teaching, encompassing engaging forms of art such as graphic design. Injie is committed to fostering an environment where students can explore and express their creativity freely and confidently.
French Educator
Marina Mishreki is excited to join the Clarion team as the French educator for this academic year. With seven years of experience teaching French, Marina brings a deep passion for language and culture to her classroom. She is particularly enthusiastic about Clarion's progressive learning methods, which she believes are instrumental in enhancing students' educational experiences.
Marina is dedicated to making language learning an engaging and enriching process. She emphasizes the importance of cultural immersion, believing that understanding a language also involves exploring its cultural context. Marina's approach helps students think more broadly and become more culturally aware, enhancing their cognitive abilities in significant ways.
French Educator
Dina brings 15 years of experience as a French Teacher. She is a highly dynamic French language educator and a compassionate leader. Dina has helped and worked with various international schools as the French Head of Department. Aside from teaching French, she also speaks and writes fluently in 3 languages: English, French, and Arabic. Dina received her bachelor’s degree at Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt.
Technology Integrator Educator
Elham joins Clarion as our Technology Integration Specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Yarmouk University, Jordan.
During the past ten years, she has worked in Dubai private schools, teaching STEM, computer science, robotics, and coding. Her philosophy is that technology should be an integral part of how the classroom functions and technology must be as accessible as all other classroom tools. She is passionate that Clarion students use technology as a tool in their learning.
Arabic Language Educator
Originally from Egypt, Mokhtar Atwa brings a blend of local and international teaching experiences to Clarion. Mokhtar has accumulated four years of teaching experience across various regions, including Egypt, Hazopaima, and Dubai, with a focus on IB curricula.
This year, he is excited to take on the role of Arabic teacher for non-native speakers at Clarion. His goal is to make Arabic a favorite subject among students by the end of the academic year, leveraging his skills to make learning both enjoyable and enriching.
Head of Arabic - MOE
With over a decade of experience in the educational field, Mohamed Othman is a dynamic and passionate educator specializing in Arabic language and Islamic Education. He has enriched the academic landscape at Clarion School through his extensive teaching experience in both the UAE and Egypt. Holding a BA degree in Arabic language, literature, and Islamic studies from the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom Cairo University, Mohamed also possesses a B.Ed. certificate from Kafer Elshaikh University in Egypt, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Leadership from OTHM in the UK.
Known for his skill in nurturing critical thinking abilities among his students, Mohamed excels at instilling a love for reading and writing. His deep-seated understanding of the specific challenges faced by non-native speakers allows him to craft a learning environment that is both supportive and inclusive for all students.
Islamic Studies Teacher for Non-Arab Students
Eman Elbagory, originally from Egypt, is the new Islamic Studies teacher for non-Arab students at Clarion School. With an impressive 18-year tenure in teaching, Eman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education with specializations in English and Islamic Studies, along with a pre-master’s in Islamic Studies.
Eman is excited to join the Clarion family this year and is looking forward to meeting her students and making a positive impact on their educational journey.
School Librarian
Originally from the quaint town of Rickmansworth in the United Kingdom, Hina Chudasama brings a rich educational background and a passion for literature to her role as the school librarian at Clarion. Living in London with her husband and two sons, she has completed her education and earned her degrees in the UK.
Hina is passionate about fostering a deep understanding of reading among students, emphasizing its importance for both academic success and personal growth. At Clarion, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming library environment that encourages students to embrace and own their learning journeys.
PE Educator
Originally from Greece, Narcisa Hamelo brings a diverse and rich educational background to her role at Clarion. After completing her bachelor's and master's degrees in the UK, Narcisa gained valuable experience working in London for five years. She then embarked on her international teaching career, which has included positions in Qatar, Vietnam, and now Dubai, where she has been teaching at Clarion for the past five years.
Narcisa is passionate about creating a fun, learning-focused environment where students can make progress and develop resilience and confidence. She cherishes being part of the Clarion community, enjoying daily collaboration with her colleagues, and the joy of teaching her students.
Physical Education Educator
Born in Greece, Antonis’ journey in sports started 15 years ago when he earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Science from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, specializing in Swimming and as a Lifeguard. He became a sports trainer and instructor in Thessaloniki concentrating in TRX, circuit training, personal and group training as well as analyzing and evaluating performance. Antonis then worked as a swimming instructor with young children, developing their confidence and love for the water. He worked alongside child psychologists to effectively and efficiently create tutorials and teach core values such as communication, co-operation, and participation. Antonis moved to the UAE in 2016 and started working in the educational field as a PE teacher with his latest position being held in an American curriculum school for middle school and elementary students.
SEN Educator
Arisha was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honors & Distinction from the University of Goa. Her determination to help make a positive difference in the lives of young children with challenges has included working as an Educator for six rewarding years at The Developing Child Centre Dubai.
Arisha possesses a strong flair for creativity & music with a keen interest in the field of expressive arts therapy. She has completed her vocal exam from the Trinity College of London and is currently pursuing a certificate in Music therapy with an aim to attain further training as an expressive arts therapist in the future. In 2019, Arisha obtained her postgraduate certificate in Speech, Language and Communication Needs in Children (SLCN-C) from the Riverston Group London in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University.
ELL Educator
Arianna joins Clarion as an ELL Educator. She is highly experienced in designing lesson plans for her students, and loves incorporating modern teaching techniques by creating a fun and interactive atmosphere in the classroom. Her goal is to contribute to the development and growth of students’ learning experiences and cultivate their love for English and Spanish Language.
School Counselor
Yasmin Garber is the dedicated school counselor at Clarion, marking her third year at the school and her 19th year in the field of education. She plays a crucial role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students across all grade levels. Yasmin excels in collaborating with parents and teachers to ensure that every student receives the best possible support. Yasmin looks forward to another rewarding year at Clarion, committed to making a positive impact on the school community.
Makerspace Educator
Victor joins Clarion as a Makerspace Educator. Aside from his creative and innovative nature, he is also passionate about theatre production, casting, and everything about the performing arts. He has taught in the USA, Japan, and Germany. Victor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University.
SEN LSA
Harold is an extraordinary educator originally from Cebu, Philippines, who brings seven years of specialized experience in teaching students with special needs. His skill set is finely tuned to create learning environments that are both inclusive and enriching. Before joining the Clarion School community in Dubai, Harold made his mark as a distinguished instructor in TESOL and TOEFL, demonstrating his versatility and unwavering commitment to education.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Cebu Normal University and is currently advancing his educational journey with a postgraduate degree in Special Needs. This ongoing academic pursuit underscores his dedication to making education accessible and meaningful for all students.
